I ordered a Fitbit at the beginning of May during the mother's day sale and even though they offered free overnight shipping, after several weeks it hadn't arrived. I contacted the live chat and was told I would be emailed back that day with more details. Almost a week later, nothing. So I contacted them again. They tried to do the "we will email you back later" thing again but I told them what happened last time so they checked further into it. Turns out, the fitbit was out of stock which no one told me and they said they would do free expedited shipping (slower than overnight shipping, so not even offering their best shipping option) to make up for it. I asked about whether I would get the original sale price and she made it sound like it was a huuuuuge deal to get it for me and she was getting me a "discount" even though she was just honouring the original price I bought the product at. I complained and pointed out that they made me wait almost a month with no explanation and made me waste my time contacting them twice, and they werent doing anything to make up for it. She said she did everything they could. What terrible service! And magically, I wasn't given the option to fill out their survey after the chat ended. So disappointed with everything about it. Makes me like their products waaaayyyyy less

I have been a customer of Fitbit now since February 2016, so roughly 4.5 years. I have gone through a total of 4 different Fitbits during this time period. I have proclaimed to everyone that Fitbits are the best fitness watches, I was totally wrong in this statement. I spent over $300 on this device 15 months ago. After calling customer service, to try and just send the device in to get fixed, they told me my only option was 25% off. If I could go back for what the prices were of these 2 products combined, with how long they lasted, I would easily switch to an Apple Watch, or another fitness brand watchc. So between the Ionic and the Surge before that, Fitbit is expecting their customers to purchase a new device just shortly after a year of having it. I find it very interesting for me that the devices always seem to start breaking right after there warranty period. They are not the type of company that wants to do right with their customers, nor does it seem like they care at all about their customers. I think you are better off going with a company that has the technical support of their products, or customer service that wants to retain customers... Fitbit is not that company. I do not EVER write reviews on products. But this company and their customer service over the years is nonsense. Save yourself the annoyance and troubles, and spend the money with a different company.

Lack of help with issues

Any issues I've had have been ignored and excuses given and when I've questioned them on the lack of help and why they won't produce a properly working app, that gets ignored too.
I have found out tonight through a google search that my new phone is not compatible with my watch.
This information is on the fitbit website when you google compatible devices yet the so called support team do not know about it, they are so inept it is unreal.
When i get rid of my watch i will never buy another fitbit.
The lack of customer service is shocking

I bought the fitbit inspire to replace…

I bought the fitbit inspire to replace my flex2. I hate it. It's too clunky and the plastic display is prone to scratches. All I want is a simple, sleek steps tracker. I no longer use the fitbit.

Top firm

I'm really surprised at some of the comments I'm seeing after logging in to give this company 5 stars for service.
My Fitbit was delivered with a hairline scratch on the screen. I sent in my complaint and it was dealt with instantly by replacing the tracker, I just needed to keep all other parts like strap, charger, etc. Incredible service.
My wife also had similar experience with her product. Screen was pixelated, so they replaced and it has been fine for 18 months or so and still going strong.
I can only recommend based on my experience.

Stay away!

Never will I EVER waste my money on that peace of junk!
Bought it in May, it managed to break 2 times in 9 months of me having it! Customer services is the worst, I had to send my fitbit back, so they can send me replacement after they receive an original one. Was shipping it from LA, CA to Calexico, CA those cities are 3 hours away from each other, it took 1.5 months to get there! I don't know if they trying to save money on return labels but my fitbit somehow ended up in Kentucky! After all that 1.5 months process I was told that the warranty isn't covering it and they can't replace it because there already was a replacement that needs to be returned. I don't have any replacements in my possession and had been using that same peace the entire time. To finish up the story, now they have my fitbit that they refuse to send back and the money I spent on that trash of a watch! Sounds like a scam to me. Stay away!

I would like to thank fitbit for all the help and assistance they gave me when my original fitbit no longer worked, they went above and beyond to help me sort a replacement watch and when that did not work they sent another replacement, excellent service, second to none

Replacements never worked

Fitbit support was very helpful and apologetic about the issues I was having, the first replacement did not charge. Support requested I send it back saying they would send another replacement as soon as they received the first replacement. They never sent it out until I emailed them asking if they had received the first replacement. The support asked for my address to send out the second replacement, they claimed it would be sent Fedex 2nd day air it was sent ou May 2, I received May 22 the second one did not charge either.

I am still using the Yolo knockoff which has been more reliable and accurate. This device and the software never worked well. The accuracy was always off when I made adjustments to the steps it wasn't ever accurate it always over counted or under counted my step size. The sleep tracker worked well for a short time then the software kept changing my settings moving my bedtime from 11 pm to 2 am. 2 months after I received it it went dead, nothing would revive it. Trying to contact customer service was another story they make it difficult to impossible to get ahold of them. The cheap $20 dollar Chinese knockoff I was using before I bought the Fitbit has a better build quality and greater accuracy than the Fitbit and am still using it.

Fitbit is a Joke

Aside from the watch, literally falling apart in less than a year... The charge barely lasts a whole day and once the charge is gone the correct time of day is gone. So then you get to spend the day charging your Fitbit and sinking it over and over with the app until usually after a long while it finally sinks but you've already missed your half day of exercise. So now your Fitbit is charged and keeping track of steps etc until it runs out of charge and you have to sink it with the app and charge it all over again on a daily basis. It's kind of a useless piece of garbage that doesn't last long enough to perform any meaningful tasks.

Fitbit - Cheap Nasty Straps - device is ok

I decided that I needed a fitness tracker as part of my "get back in shape plan". For such an expensive item I was shocked by the poor quality of the strap. It is terrible. My Sense keeps falling off and when I did eventually try to fix it with some duct tape, the strap material left me with huge burn like marks on my wrist and my skin peeled off. I really wish that I had not bought this at all. When I researched a solution I found that someone else was told by Fitbit to go and buy a new strap !!!!

It will break in a year

It will break in a year then they will give you a coupon so you can buy a new one that will inevitably break in a year. Don't waste your money.

I would never get another fitbit after…

I would never get another fitbit after my experience with their customer service. I called about one problem and ended up with a fitbit that no longer works - after following their instructions. They were so rude and suggested that I buy another fitbit - after they caused my fitbit to stop working completely!

Worst customer service

They don't respond to call, don't call back as they promise, chats not forthcoming, giving email address knowing they don't respond to them.
